He is survived by: his sons, Craig Purington (Paula) and Bruce Purington (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Michele Brown (Brian), Eric Purington (Rachelle), Zachary Purington (Jamie) and Raven Cooter (David); and his great grandchildren, Tyler Brown, Kyle Brown, Avalon Purington, Zoey Purington, Lilly Purington, Emmett Purington, Emmy Lou Cooter and Ella Marie Cooter.
