He was predeceased by: his former wife Bettie Jo Collins; his parents, Maryann Collins (Collins) and Jimmy Walker; his grandparents, Jim and Eva Collins; his sisters, Armeil Ritzie, Boots Walker and Victoria Collins; his aunt June DeBato; and his uncle Jerry Collins.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his siblings, Jaynell Collins (Patricia), Debra, CoCo Collins (Joseph Stevenson, Jr.) and Della Weatherall Nichols (Jeff Cosey); his niece Maria; his nephew Curtis Bayette (Lorrie); his goddaughter Rachael "Mookie" Ross; and his son Clyde Steward. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in laws, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
