He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo; his children, John W Mitchell Jr., Linda Rodriguez (Jose) and Mark Mitchell (Jennifer); his stepsons, Tim Sage (Laura), Jeff Sage (Cindy) and Rick Sage (Peggy); his grandchildren, Desiree Mitchell, John W Mitchell III, Jaclyn Herrera, Ashley Fry, Stephanie Vallance, Kane Mitchell and Connor Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Lorenzo Herrera, Ava Vallance, Emmalinn Vallance and Decker Montgomery.
