She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Long and Hazel Long (Overby); her husband Clifford Whelchel; her sisters, Crystal and Louise; her daughter-in-law Patricia; and her grandson Matthew.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Ainley Clifford (Dennis), Sherry Anderson, Michael E. Whelchel and Dawn Minniear (Mike); her siblings, Ruth Rhodes, Joyce Pitman (Dale), Sue (Wade), Carol Crosley and Rev. Vernon Long (Louise); and her children, Mansion, Box and Tupelo. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
