He was predeceased by: his parents, Kester Barkwill and Margaret Ahrens (Sperry); his wife Catherine; and his brothers, William Barkwill and Robert Barkwill.
He is survived by: his daughter Victoria Cheatum (Billy); and his stepdaughter Lauren Radovich. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Delehanty Funeral Home (401 River Ln, Loves Park, IL 61111). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
