It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margery Mae Gioppo of Machesney Park, Illinois, who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Phillips and Emma Phillips (Eder); her daughter-in-law Pamila Gioppo; and her siblings, Norma Winters, Vivian Ashley and Marvin Phillips.
She is survived by: her husband Peter A. Gioppo; her children, Michael Gioppo (Nancy) of Rockford, Dan Gioppo of Roscoe, Cathy Molander (Pat) of Cherry Valley and Patty Armstrong (John) of Rockford; her sister Levon Elliott of Oregon, IL; her grandchildren, Lisa Gioppo, Scott Gioppo, Andrea Angileri (Joe), Pete Gioppo, Tom Molander, Michelle Raia Gioppo, Amy Calandrella (Vittorio), Amanda Nundahl (Nick) and Megan Armstrong; and her great grandchildren, Dominic Angileri, J. J. Angileri, Anthony Angileri, Maria Angileri, Isabella, Ava, Sam Gioppo, Maia, Michael Burkett, Enzo, Luca Calandrella and Vincent Nundahl.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (1010 Ferguson St, Rockford, IL 61102). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Marty's name to the Gioppo family to be established later.
