She was predeceased by: her parents, Herschel Bright and Evelyene Bright (Secrest); and her siblings, Donald Bright, Linda Lundeen and Mary Jane Warner.

She is survived by: her daughter Sherri Edwards Cox of Destin; her siblings, Richard Bright of Paris and Sarah "Sally" Thomas of Quincy, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Jackson Matthew Cox of Destin, Chloe Annabelle Cox of Destin and Annabelle Bruner Cox of Destin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
