He was predeceased by: his parents, Baldasarre Gioppo and Catherine Gioppo (Zavagnin); his wife Marty Gioppo; his daughter-in-law Pamila Gioppo; and his siblings-in-law, Norma Winters, Vivian Ashley, Marvin Phillips and William "Bill" DiTomassi.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Gioppo (Nancy) of Rockford, Dan Gioppo of Roscoe, Cathy Molander (Pat) of Cherry Valley and Patty Armstrong (John) of Rockford; his grandchildren, Lisa Gioppo, Scott Gioppo, Andrea Angileri (Joe), Pete Gioppo, Tom Molander, Michelle Raia Gioppo, Amy Calandrella (Vittorio), Amanda Nundahl (Nick) and Megan Armstrong; his great grandchildren, Dominic Angileri, J. J. Angileri, Anthony Angileri, Maria Angileri, Isabella, Ava, Sam Gioppo, Maia, Michael Burkett, Enzo, Luca Calandrella and Vincent Nundahl; his sister Cecelia DiTomassi; and his sister-in-law Levon Elliott.
Memorials may be made in Pete's name to the Gioppo family to be established later.
