We announce the death of Raymond Michael James (Machesney Park, Illinois), who passed away on April 16, 2026, at the age of 57. Raymond will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Poe and Mike James; his parents, Bob Colwell and Rayma Colwell (Stepdad); and his uncles, Russ, Dale and Joe.

He is survived by: his wife Angie; his daughters, Hailee and Taylor; his brothers, Robbie Colwell (Stephanie), Rory Colwell (Cathy) and Rudy Colwell (Brenda); his in-laws, Mike and Lori Nelson; and his brother-in-law Matt Nelson (Rianna).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Ray's memory by spending time with loved ones, helping others in need, or simply enjoying the outdoors as he did.
