He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sisters, Juelle (Hornung) and Sue (Lagerhausen); his children, Roger Witthoeft (Michelle), Deborah Vandenburg, Mary Vinyard (Larry), John Schroeder (Julie), Kim Jembrzycki (Paul) and Brent Witthoeft (Jenni); and his grandchildren, Jessica, Jackie, Jennie, Sarah, Ryan, Nick, Ben, Chris, Tony, Katie, Roger, Joey, Andrew, Alex, Jennifer, Heather, Dirk Jr., Erin and Savannah. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
