With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Long of Mackinaw, Illinois, who passed away on November 26, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank X. Long and Theresia Wurdinger Long; and his siblings, Kathrine, Carl, Pauline, Lena, Rose, Helen, Frank Jr. and Melvin (Stanford).

He is survived by : his wife Mary Lang; his children, Michael Long (Alice) of Stanford, IL, Loretta Kahle (Eric) of Taylorville, IL and Janet Long of Grays Lake, IL; his grandchildren, Kelly Bollman (Brandt), Brent Long, Eddie Kahle (Kylie), Katie Kahle and Madelyn Kahle; and his great grandchildren, Alexa, Alana, Quentin and Lucy.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hopedale or Minier Rescue Squad.
