It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Smith of Mackinaw, Illinois, born in Lee, Illinois, who passed away on May 12, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Smith and Eileen Hay Smith. He is survived by: his wife Karen Smith of Mackinaw, IL; his daughters, Peggy Dennis (James Sr) of Mooresville, IN, Janet Henneberg (Bryon) of Mackinaw, IL and Kristi Williams (Charles) of Mackinaw, IL; his siblings, Joe Smith (Gloria) of Peoria, IL and Helen Newell (Don) of Tremont, IL; his sister-in-law Linda Smith; and his grandchildren, Alison Dennis, Lani Dennis, Caleb Williams (Weslie), Aaron Henneberg (Deborah Carvajal), Jesse Henneberg, Alissa Watkins (Jesse), Drew Henneberg (Jennifer), Whitney Parrott (Blake) and James Jr. (Dennis).
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (128 Washington St, Hopedale, IL 61747). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mackinaw Fire Department.
