Alice J. Plate Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice J. Plate of Macomb, Illinois, who passed away on April 14, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Schleich and Zelpha Schrodt Schleich; her husband Larry Plate; her son Steve Plate; her granddaughter Shelly Plate Boyles; and her siblings, Robert, Ralph, Charles Schleich, Rose Gianessi, Ruth Quigley, Joyce Kinne and Audrey Schleich.
She is survived by: her children, Patsy Leezer (David) of St. Charles, Larry Joe Plate of Niota and Rose Scheetz (Randy) of Carthage, Illinois; her grandchildren, Susi Plate Boyles (Nick Swartz), Jamie Plate Boyles, Chris Plate (Cathy), Jared Plate (Brandy), Joshua Plate (Melissa), Elizabeth Pilkington (Andy), Nathan Leezer (Savannah), Krista Carle (Justin), Lezley Anderson (Nick), Paul Scheetz and Dan Scheetz (Bethany); and her sister Mary Jane Schleich. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home (303 E Washington St, Macomb, IL 61455). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Pennington Point Cemetery.
