She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Bucy and Minnie Bucy (Knuppel); her grandson Ben; and her brother Ernest Bucy. She is survived by: her children, Jim Bucy (Judy) of Springfield, IL, Diana Martin (Jim) of Matthews, NC and Mike Bucy (Barbara) of South Jacksonville, IL; her grandchildren, Katie Stewart (Jeff), Allie Vining (Drew), Mary Clarin (Dan), Matt Martin (Nicole), Heather Griffin (Conor) and Craig Bucy (Kary); her great grandchildren, Brianna, Fiona, Leah, Louisa, Oliver, Anderson, Lucy, Henry, Charlie, Jackson and Maddie; and her sister Carol Pace of Vermont, IL..

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bertha's memory may be made to the Vermont American Legion Auxiliary.
