He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Allen and Iona Bixler Allen; and his siblings, Evely Hainline, Arlene Simpson, Murry Allen, Lawrence Allen (Buck), Jack Allen, Jeri Allen and Macks Allen.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Shafer (Justin) of Phoenix and Mitchell Allen (Stacey) of Bushnell, Illinois; his grandchildren, Grant Allen, Sydney Barwick (Andrew) and Pierce Shafer (Charlie); and his great grandchildren, Ray, Althea Allen, Cooper and Noa Barwick.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the American Legion (221 E Washington St, Macomb, IL 61455).
Memorials may be made to MDH Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
