He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Barnes and Grace Barnes; and his siblings, Joe, Bobby, Raymond, Jimmy, Mary, Pat and Kay.
He is survived by: his sisters, Opal, Anita, Carol and Donna; and his children, Tony Barnes (Amy) and Julia Stoneking. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Good Hope Cemetery (445 E Main St, Good Hope, IL 61438). A reception was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Ipava American Legion Post 17.
