With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dale Firof of Macomb, Illinois, born in Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on September 25, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Dale departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Dale. Though Dale may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his wife Susan Burger; and his pet Cody Joe. He is survived by: his children, Chris Firof (Esther), Mindy Pilat (Mike) and Trish Bromwell (David). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home (303 E Washington St, Macomb, IL 61455). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at the TBD Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens (2040 US-150, Galesburg, IL 61401).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Dale Firof Memorial Fund.
