Essie Manuel Rutledge Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Essie Manuel Rutledge of Macomb, Illinois, born in Midway, Alabama, who passed away on June 1, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Albert Chester Rutledge; her parents, Algie Manuel Sr. and Ollie Mae Jones; and her siblings, Patricia McIntosh (Ted) and Thomas Manuel (Elnora).
She is survived by: her son Jeffrey Albert Rutledge (Tonia); her grandchildren, Jeffrey Amani and Jabari; and her siblings, Algie Manuel Jr. (Carol), Arthur Jones and Beverly Williams (Ken). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other cherished relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church (120 N McArthur St, Macomb, IL 61455).
