He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard LaFary and Louise Chambers; his daughters, Denise Brown and Diane Zimmerman; his granddaughter Kayla Zimmerman; and his siblings, Norman LaFary, Keith Lafary and Joan Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Butcher (Jerry) of Vermont and Jack LaFary Jr. (Alison) of Lewistown; his stepsons, Gary Raymond of Macomb and Chad Raymond (Roberta) of Plymouth, Illinois; and his son-in-law Jay Zimmerman of LaHarpe, Illinois. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, with one more great-grandchild.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Wesley Village Community Center (1200 E Grant St, Macomb, IL 61455).
