She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell B. Curless and Maxine I. Curless (Hardisty); her son Lennie; her grandson Carter Hiland; her nephew Ted Keith; and her brothers-in-law, Delbert Tones and Teddy Keith.

She is survived by: her daughter Amber Hiland (Derek); her grandson Tyler Hiland of Sycamore; her sisters, Sharon Tones of Macomb and Delores Keith of St. Louis; her nieces, Michelle Laktas of Venice and Susan Keith of St. Louis; and her nephew Mike Tones of Macomb.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Christian Church, the McDonough County Humane Society, or the Hydrocephalus Association.
