He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Mershon and Mabel Phillips Mershon; his son Murray Mershon; his brother Terry Mershon; and his nephew Eddie Wandtke.
He is survived by: his son Mike Mershon (Kim Perry) of LaHarpe; his daughter-in-law Monica Mershon of Ursa; his grandchildren, Tiffany Bangel (Bill), Kevin Mershon (Madison), Kelsey Mershon, Nicholas Mershon, Caleb Mershon and Allison Mershon; his sister Sue Miller (Jerry); and his sister-in-law Jean Mershon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Fountain Green Church or OSF Healthcare Foundation.
