She was predeceased by: her parents, Freddy Gossage and Violet Gossage (Dugger); her son Dannie Canavit; her daughter-in-law Denise Canavit; and her siblings, Dale Eugene Canavit, Reba Thompson and Faye McDaniel.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert Canavit (Patty) of Birmingham and Thomas Canavit of Troy, Illinois.
