She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond "Sam" Porter and Velma Porter (Kitch); her husband Arthur Cameron "Turk" Spangler; and her grandchildren, Airman 1st Class Joseph Kent Spangler, Elaina Spangler and Skylar Spangler.
She is survived by: her children, Dean Spangler (Sharon) of LaHarpe, Dan Spangler (Karen) of LaHarpe, Dorinda Spangler of Ftn Green and Darren Spangler (Shelly) of Ftn Green; her grandchildren, Jake Spangler (Rissa) of Rockford, Sarah Karnes of Phoenix, Kerry Spangler of Ft. Madison, Nikki Spangler of Macomb, Amanda Spangler of Carthage and Avery Spangler (Janie) of Ftn Green; and her stepgrandchildren, Tammy Plutz, Wesley Wayland, Carrie Burnham, Cassandra Busby and Christopher Rogers. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Banks & Beals Funeral Home (504 E Main St, La Harpe, IL 61450). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
A memorial fund has been established for Wesley Village.
