With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marilyn K. Keeney of Macomb, Illinois, who passed away on March 31, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Marilyn's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Marilyn has bequeathed us. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Adams and Dorothy Adams (Holiday). She is survived by: her significant other James Keeney; her daughters, Jennifer Ludwig (David) of Geneva, IL and Lisa Keeney-Albrecht of Bettendorf, IA; and her grandchildren, Ava, Sadie Ludwig, Carson and Molly Albrecht.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Keeney Kid Fund for Lincoln School, McDonough County Animal Shelter, The Humane Society of McDonough County, and St. Jude Children's Hospital.

“Jan and want to give our condolences to all the Keeney family on your loss. Lisa and Jennifer I want you both to know how much both of your parents meant to me. They were both wonderful people. Jim and I had some good times together over the years. I will always remember the time I went to court for them regarding a situation at the house they had sold to a couple who were being very difficult. Jim and I had lots of laughs about it after it was over. Jan and I now live in New Canaan, CT”
