She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Ritter and Susie Ritter (DeMoss); her spouse Dale Abernathy; her siblings, Betty Walters, Eleanor Thorne, Harry Ritter, Jr., Paul Ritter and Jack Ritter; and her stepbrother Gene Miller.

She is survived by: her sons, Jim Abernathy (Charlene) of Table Grove and Jeff Abernathy (Karen) of Lewistown; her grandsons, Kevin Abernathy (Brandi), Eric Abernathy (Mollie) and Jeff Abernathy; and her great grandchildren, Lily, Bella, Gavin and Liam Abernathy. She is also survived by one step-great-grandson Gauge Barker and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
