We announce the death of Michael P. Powell of Macomb, Illinois, who passed away on August 9, 2026, at the age of 84. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul S. Powell and Lola Powell (Wells); and his sister Lana Wheeler (Sally). He is survived by: his wife Zelma Swanson; his children, Tim Powell of Wisconsin, Toby Powell (Marie) of Arvada, CO and Cindy Forman (Troy) of Columbus, IN; his grandson Wade Forman (Megan) of Westfield, IN; his great grandchild Jack Forman of Westfield, IN.; and his stepchildren, Cindy Taylor (Stephen) of Macomb, IL, Leanne Stephenson (Sam) of Oklahoma and Billy Oliver (Kim) of Georgia. He is also survived by 7 step grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
