He was predeceased by: his parents, Harmon Hainline and Ester Butterfield Hainline; his daughter Sue Ellen Hainline; and his siblings, Michael Hainline, Connie Royer and Lorraine Wilcox.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Arvin; and his son Jay Hainline (Michelle) of Colchester. He is also survived by three nieces and several nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Macomb Masonic Lodge #17 or the First Baptist Church in Macomb.
