He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Whitford and Carrie McLean Whitford; his granddaughter Mindy Akers; his brother John Whitford; his half-sister Rita; and his sister-in-law Barb Steinhour.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Whitford; his children, Sherry Whitford and Brad Whitford (Brooke); his granddaughters, Sophie Whitford and Mckenzi Whitford; his siblings, Larry Whitford (Darla) and Patricia Rash; and his sisters-in-law, Sandy Whitford, Judy Martin (Lloyd) and Brenda Hance (Chris).
