He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Gray and Nina Heap Gray; his former spouse Shirley Hunt; his wife Rosa Lee Woolam McCormick; his brother James Gray; and his sister-in-law Karen Gray.

He is survived by: his children, Susie Fowler of Macomb, Nina Aeilts (Mark) of St. Joseph and Rudy Gray (Sue) of Industry; his stepdaughters, Debbie Pestle (Jerry) of Bushnell, Kathie McCleery (Mike) of Bushnell, Sharon Hundley (Dan) of Avon, Tammie Speer (Tim) of Avon and Tina Advani (Ravi) of Cleveland, Tennessee; and his siblings, Dan Gray (Teana), Elaine France (Marlin) and Roger Gray (Terri). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the HSMC New Animal Shelter.
