He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Flanagan and Mae Flanagan; and his siblings, Clyde of Mt Vernon, Darmon of Mt Vernon, Gene of Mt Vernon, Jack of Mt Vernon, Richard of Mt Vernon, Gail Capps of Whiting, Annabelle Cates and Donna of Mt. Vernon.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lee Wendler; his children, Cindy Patton (Dennis) and Steve Flanagan (Mary) of Colchester, Illinois; his grandchildren, Andy Patton (Lisa) of Macomb Illinois, Ashley Parks (Bill) of Colchester, Stacie Havens (Tyler) of Colchester and Kimberly Flanagan of New Jersey; and his great grandchildren, Kelsie Parks, Wyatt Parks, Aidan Sullivan, Wyatt Patton, Will Patton, Ryder Parks, Maddox Havens, Amelia Havens and Adalynn Patton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home (201 W Carroll St, Macomb, IL 61455). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans or Wounded Warriors Project.
