She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Daniel and Hannah Jane Fowler Phelps; her son Fredrick Beal (Brenda); her sister-in-law Velva June Beal; her husband Earl Beal; her brothers, Kenneth, Robert and Roger Phelps; her sons-in-law, Robert Fairchild and Kent Peters; and her grandchildren, Rachel Oliver, Andrew Blue and Troy Van Fleet.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Fairchild of Colchester, Karen Peters of Macomb, Earl Beal (Kathy) of Ft. Madison, Christine Oliver of Galesburg and Laurel Blue (Ronald) of Carthage; and her grandchildren, Lisa Butterfield (Paul), Vicki Williams (Rick), Ben Fairchild (Tina), Mary Bunny, Mikayla Van Fleet, Michelle Delagado, Mindy Logan (Adam), Bridget Carlson (Jeff), Ryan Blue (Shannon), Heather Henkes (Perry), Rebekah Oliver and Renee Vuchkovich.

In Lieu of Flowers a memorial is to the Missions Fund of the Colchester First Baptist Church.
