With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Albert Spohrer of Mahomet, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Albert left this world on August 2, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Spohrer and Nellie Spohrer (Dolan); and his son Ron. He is survived by: his sons, Henry (Gail), Tom (Mary), Charles (Darleen), George (Kim), James (Maryann) and Dennis Spohrer. He is also survived by many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A wake will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 7:00 AM and at 7:00 PM at the Owens Funeral Home (101 N Elm St, Champaign, IL 61820). Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Matthew Catholic Church (1303 Lincolnshire Dr, Champaign, IL 61821).
