Betty Lape Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Lape of Mahomet, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 10, 2025 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Lape to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Godfrey and Dorathy Godfrey (Ledyard); and her stepmother Lila Godfrey. She is survived by: her husband Douglas Lape of Mahomet; her daughters, Anne Louise Lape (Teresa) and Mary Alice Stauffer (Brian); her grandchildren, Graham Lape-Shoub, Lila and Zane Stauffer; and her sister Claudia Jackson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Blair-Owens Funeral Home (102 E Dunbar St, Mahomet, IL 61853). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
