He is survived by: his former wife Jo Ellen Wilson; his children, Shannon Quin, Anna Colleen and Daniel Robert; his wife Patti Vaughn of Mahomet; his stepson Daskel W Vaugh Jr. of Urbana; his brothers, Michael Patrick O'Connor (Paula) and Kevin John O'Connor; and his son Shawn Michael O'Connor.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home (1102 Churchill Rd, Mahomet, IL 61853). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
