He is survived by: his parents, Carl Townsend (Carol) of Urbana, IL and Terri Herbst (Bob) of Mahomet, IL; his spouse Kelly Jo Sands of Hopedale, IL; his son Logan; his stepchildren, Emily, Luke Risinger of Danvers, IL and Zachary Risinger (Lillian Nelson) of McLean, IL; his granddaughters, Marceline and Mabel Risinger of McLean; his siblings, Joshua Townsend (Brigid) of Bloomington, IL, Jason Townsend (Renee) of Mahomet and Jennifer "Jiffer" Townsend of Portland, OR; his niece Lilliana of Bloomington; his nephew Riley of Mahomet; his parents-in-law, Lynn Rothrock Westhoff (Duane) of Danvers and Douglas Sands (Pam Mills McKinney) of Hopedale; his grandparents, Bob Townsend (Karen) of Monticello, IL and Deloras "Dee" Townsend of Urbana; his cousin Dylan Trott of Cisco, IL; and his pets, Lion-Eye and JT. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made in Jake's honor to Wounded Warriors, the Freedom Paws Service Dogs Foundation in Chillicothe, IL, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
