He was predeceased by: his parents, Artie Slade and Dorothy Slade; and his son Jeffery Slade. He is survived by: his wife Suzann Marie Fritsch; his brother Larry Slade (Carol) of Champaign; his sons, Bobby (Dena) of Champaign and Bill (Krissa) of Mahomet; his grandchildren, Steven Slade, Michael Slade (Stephanie), Jordan Graning (Adam), Macy Tester (Tyler), Abigayle Slade and Skylar Slade; and his stepgrandchildren, Stephanie Finnegan (Neil), Tiffany Riddle, Meaghan Zindars (Kyle) and Kolton Kocher (Tanaya). He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Blood Cancer United or the Mahomet United Methodist Church.
