He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward McLaughlin and Florence McLaughlin; his son Daniel; and his grandson Patrick. He is survived by: his wife Mary Agnes of Joseph's Church; his children, Pat McLaughlin (Linda), Kathleen Reichenberger (Rich) and Dennis McLaughlin (Alicia); his grandchildren, Lindsay McLaughlin (Brian Stone), Kelsey Dearing (Scott), Daniel Reichenberger (Mykaila Hayes), Katie, Krista Reichenberger, Chase Johnson (Eileen) and Ashtyn McLaughlin; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Jayce, Delanie, Deklen, Lars and Vonn; his sister Mary Diehl (late Paul); his sister-in-law Lois Bernhard (late Leo); his brother Don; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Bernhard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Forsythe Gould Funeral Home (507 S State St, Manhattan, IL 60442). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (255 W North St, Manhattan, IL 60442).
