She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Chapman and Mildred Chapman; her husband Bob Collins; her grandson-in-law Justin Smith; and her siblings, Eunice Wilson, Harold Chapman II, Naomi Fetterman and Ernest Chapman.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Collins (Sherry), Shannon Loucks (Jerry) and Dawn Janik (Tony); her grandchildren, Joshua Collins (Jessica), Codi Collins, Jeremy Loucks (Riley), Jacob Loucks, Hannah Loucks, Jonah Loucks, Jayson Loucks, Abigail Loucks, Andrea, Ashley Abbott (Jeremiah) and Casey Friley (Jeremy); her great grandchildren, Hazel Fitzl, Tallulah Whitegull, Zoe Franz (Matthew), Willow Riddle, Levi, Blake Friley and Lenox Abbott; and her sister-in-law Elizabeth Chapman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She then took a position with the Armour Research Foundation of the Illinois Institute of Technology.
