He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger W. Smith and Marjorie Smith; and his grandparents, Howard, Leta Smith, Thomas and Mary Riley.
He is survived by: his siblings, John Smith of Lockport, Colleen Smith of Chicago and Timothy Smith of Carol Spring. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (255 W North St, Manhattan, IL 60442). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 20th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
