Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Gary leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Gilbert and Geraldine Gilbert (Curlock); his brother Larry Gilbert; and his friend Alice Marie Fuller. He is survived by: his children, Jeff (Vengilene), Kristi Whitaker (Doug) and Julie Pokorny; and his close friend Brenda Hamman. He is also survived by his 3 children, 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Maas Hurley Funeral Home - Manito (301 S Washington St, Manito, IL 61546).
