James Richard Armstrong Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Richard Armstrong of Manito, Illinois, who passed away on May 6, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bruce and Lola Armstrong (Malone); his sons, Aric Jon Armstrong and James Waylon Landrith; and his siblings, Roger Armstrong, Dennis Armstrong, Douglas Armstrong and Theda Stevenson.

He is survived by: his children, Brenda Lynn Hembra of Heyworth, Stephanie Ann Underwood of Heyworth and Thomas Warren Finley (Jeana Hayes) of Manito; and his siblings, Thomas Armstrong of Anderson, Kathryn Felmey of North Pekin and Loria Brown of Springfield. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
