It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert George Schumm of Manito, Illinois, who passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert George Schumm to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schumm and Louise Schumm (Eitenmiller); and his spouse Alpha Ethell. He is survived by: his children, Nile Schumm (Mickey) of Washington, IL and Karen Jacobson (Pete) of Manito; and his grandchildren, Sean Schumm (Kira) of Monmouth, IL, Jamie Kammeyer (Scott) of Manito, Andrea Bennett (Corey) of Merrill, WI, Kellie Rumps (Jim) of Bloomington, IL, Casey Schumm (Jenny) of Morton, IL and Lindsay Goetz (Brian) of Elgin, IL. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church in Tremont.
