It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrie L. Rogers of Manteno, Illinois, born in Oak Lawn, Illinois, who passed away on July 3, 2023, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Carbie C. Smith and Barbara Ann Smith (Classon); her brother Michael Smith; and her father-in-law Joseph McDermott. She is survived by : her husband John S. McDermott of Manteno; her children, Jessie "Boog" Rogers (Joseph Beasley) of Manteno, Drew Crawford (Lauren) of Bradley and Meagan Peterson of Crown Point, IN; her sisters, Rita Ward of Manteno, Nicolette Mathews (Michael) of Limestone and Carlene Toler (Jerry) of Manteno; her grandchildren, Callahan Carbie, Madyson, Lucas and Isabelle; her nieces and nephews, Mandy, Matthew (Michelle), Eli (Traci), Ashley (Nick), Erica (Alex) and Brenden (Maegan); her friend Dawn LaFaber Jett (Brian); and her mother-in-law Marti McDermott.
