We announce the death of Donald Bertram (Manteno, Illinois), who passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 82. Donald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vivian Bertram and Edward Bertram; his brother Tom Bertram (Joanne); and his grandmother BJ. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Dawn Gess, Barb Stranczek (Mike), Tom Bertram (Courtney) and Brandy Flores (David); his grandchildren, Ashley (Kurt), Mike (Anna), Steve (Emily), Eric (Taylor), Nicole (Jesse) of Zach, AJ, Livi and Nic; and his sister Kathy Bertram.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Manteno - Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Inc. (291 N Main St, Manteno, IL 60950). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Risen Savior Lutheran Church or the Essential Tremor Research Foundation.
