John Matthew Sauerbier Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Matthew Sauerbier of Manteno, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 20, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sauerbier and Lorraine Sauerbier (Bossi). He is survived by: his wife Diane Sauerbier of Manteno; his children, Tabitha (Dave) of Frankfort, John (Courtney) of Momence, Amanda (De Carlo) of Midlothian, James and Anthony of Tinley Park; his siblings, Kay (Norman) of Lockport and Raymond (Mary Ann) of Orland Park; his grandchildren, Jenna Johnson, Kaitlyn Hahn, Beau Pittman, John Sauerbier, Delana Sauerbier, Tieran Lavelle, Riley Lavelle, Morgan Farlie, Michael Spedale, Brian Spedale, Lauren O'Brien and Christian Pittman; and his great grandchildren, Camden Edborg, Wyatt Johnson, Mason Hahn and Eleanor Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Risen Savior Lutheran Church or the Chicago Honor Flight.
