He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Ekstrom and June Ekstrom; and his brother Jim Ekstrom. He is survived by: his wife Kris Ekstrom; his children, Steve Ekstrom (Stacey), Melisa Pitstick (John), Jill Ekstrom (Becca Vant) and Maryellen Moran (Brandon); his grandchildren, Amanda Feece (Adam Cooper), Alex Ekstrom, Kymber Cardoso (Bruno), Michael Ekstrom, Madisyn Feece (Shafi Luma), Stella Moran, Jax Moran and Ava Moran; his great grandchildren, Lucas, Noah Cardoso and Elira Luma; and his siblings, Kathy Lindsten (Bob), Jerry Ekstrom (Debbie) and Penny Ekstrom (Kerry Plourde). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and a countryside of friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Conley Funeral Home (116 W Pierce St, Elburn, IL 60119). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
