It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerome Albert Thies of Mapleton, Illinois, born in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 23, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Thies and Milda Thies; and his sister Yvonne Rach. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Donovan; his children, Jennifer Shannon of Carthage, MO, Jeffrey Thies of Allen, TX and Stephanie Alvey (Roger) of Mapleton, IL.; and his grandchildren, Libby Collier (Brett), Molly, Sophie Shannon of Carthage, MO, Emily, Olivia Thies of Houston, Hannah, Clara, Hank and Will Alvey of Mapleton, IL..

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Peoria or UnityPoint Health-Methodist Volunteer Services.
