Rick Smith Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rick Smith of Mapleton, Illinois, who passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rick Smith to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Smith and Lorene Smith (Vogel); and his siblings-in-law, Ron Lolling and Darla Tieszen. He is survived by: his sons, Ryan Smith of Mapleton and Mark Smith of Bartonville; his grandchildren, Austin Smith (Austyn) of Hanna City and Colt Smith of Mapleton; his great grandchildren, Nora Smith, Amelia Smith, Murphy Smith and Ridley Smith; his sisters, Cathy Reimer of Glasford and Debbie Lolling of Glasford; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Lou Janssen (Ron) of Glasford, Ted Goetze (Melissa) of Green Valley and Jeff Tieszen of Glasford. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory (500 N 4th St, Pekin, IL 61554). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
