It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Hume (Marengo, Illinois), who passed away on July 29, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Frances Hume to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Mary O'Brien (Mularkey) and Murray O'Brien; her husband George J. Hume; her former life partner Ralph W. Kiefer (Chris); her son George T. Hume; and her siblings, Bill, Jim, Russell, Marge, Dorothy and Mary.

She is survived by : her children, Kathryn Launder (Michael) and Kenneth Hume; her grandchildren, Jenni Freese (Dan), Joey (Elise), Jessica Dale (Tommy), Tyler and Natalie; and her great grandchildren, Sophia, Kayden, Quinn, Huck, Louis, Ava, Anderson and Lee. She is also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made to Agrace Hospice (Agrace.org/Donate) in Fitchburg, WI, in honor of Fran's memory.

Lois Grans wrote a sympathy message

“Our shining light has gone dark at Fran’s last home at the Prairie Park .She will be missed by all of us who knew and loved her. She love to visit and share stories and pictures and always with coffee and sweets..She was always there to help any of us at any time. . She was as Irish as Irish could be & oif it.. Every St Patrick’s Day she would dress in her favorite Irish attire.. There is no replacement for our Fran but the memories she created will live long.in our hearts. John & Lois”
