She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Martin LaValley and Caroline LaValley (Borscha); her brothers, Edward and James; her husband James Dunek; her former life partner Jack Offenheiser; her children, Kenneth Dunek (Theresa), Michael Dunek (Anna) and Caroline Beernink (Kelly); her grandchildren, Ashley Dunek, Alexandra Dunek, Taylor Dunek, Jamie Dunek, Amanda Weber (Dunek), Alisha Weidel (Dunek), Andrea Dunek and Joseph Beernink; and her sister Audrey Desch. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made in her name to the Marengo More Center.
